When you think of Hunstanton Beach, you may picture classic fish and chips, sandstone cliffs, rock pools, and majestic sunsets. But now, we can add something else to that list—an incredible photo shoot featuring our handcrafted George Iron and Brass Bed!
On April 15th, early morning walkers might have been surprised to see our luxurious, Victorian-inspired handcrafted bed being photographed for Country Life magazine. The George Iron and Brass Bed, a true masterpiece, took center stage, offering a glimpse of timeless craftsmansh
Planning the Shoot: A Journey of Patience
Our journey began in January when we first learned of the opportunity for a Country Life editorial. While the location and timing were initially unclear, Hunstanton Beach quickly became one of the top choices. As the date approached, we carefully monitored the weather and tides.
After an initial setback due to a sudden Air Traffic Control strike in France, we recalculated the best date. By 9:30 AM, we were ready for action on the beach, where the weather and tide cooperated perfectly.
Behind the Scenes: Setting Up for the Perfect Shot
The George Iron and Brass Bed was positioned magnificently in front of Hunstanton’s cliffs, with the sea serving as a stunning backdrop. The setup was flawless. As soon as the photo shoot began, curious dog walkers stopped in their tracks, watching the spectacle unfold.
Over the course of 53 takes, the photographer shot from various angles, aiming for the perfect shot that would highlight the elegant iron and brass bed. After multiple attempts, the photographer declared, “That’s it, we’ve got it!” Within just one hour, months of planning and anticipation culminated in the perfect shot.
