Named in honour of a very caring family friend. Our Lottie iron and brass bed is our tribute to a primary school teacher worthy of celebration. An early mentor to both Jack and Harry, she would walk through the rain and snow to offer support to the young people in her care. Although she’s had her share of difficulty, she wears a smile that brings joy into any room.
With a glowing smile of her own – a gentle curve of glistening brass – our Lottie iron and brass bed shall brighten any room with her glorious bold smile and radiating warmth – just like the wonderful lady herself.

Iron beds – powder-coated
- We recommend that you clean your metal bed frame with a fresh soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly with a lint-free cloth.
- Avoid cleaning products that may contain solvents or ammonia.
- Authentic brass details will tarnish over time. As our brass is unlacquered, it can be cleaned using a quality brass cleaner. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
- As our iron beds are heavy, we recommend a minimum of two people when moving or handling your bed.
- Never drag your bed and always lift it using the side rails.
- Heavy impacts may damage the powder-coated finish.
- Please note that careless handling may cause damage.

As the only carbon-neutral iron bed maker, working towards a sustainable future has been at the heart of our family company since we began. Although it does require a large amount of packaging to ensure that your bed arrives in perfect condition, with your help, we can ensure that all materials are reused or disposed of properly.
As standard, our delivery team will unbox and unbag your goods so that they can take any packaging away with them. If you’d like your goods to remain in their original packaging, please let us know before your delivery team arrives and be sure to dispose of the packaging appropriately.
It can be tricky to choose the right bed, especially when it’s guaranteed to last a lifetime. So, we offer you a promise: we’ll exchange your bed free of charge if you decide it’s the wrong size, style or colour within 30 days of delivery.
Our 30-day sleep promise covers our full range of handcrafted wrought iron beds. All that we ask is that you have seen your bed in person, in the correct style and colour, at our showroom. The bed must also be ordered from us directly.
A Mother’s Dream, A Family’s Craft
At Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co., we believe a bed should be more than just a place to sleep — it should be something to treasure. As a family-run business, we handcraft every bed in Norfolk using traditional techniques and a genuine passion for quality.
We’re proud to hold a Royal Warrant, a reflection of our commitment to craftsmanship and service. From strong, heirloom-quality frames to naturally filled mattresses, everything we create is made to last.
What matters most to us is our customers. Whether you’re furnishing a forever home or looking for a bed with meaning, we’re here to help — with no pushy sales, just honest advice and heartfelt care.
We build beds that tell a story, using materials that matter, made by people who love what they do. We’d be honoured to make one for you.

Where Quality Craftsmanship Still Counts
At Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co., quality isn’t just a promise — it’s a standard we’ve upheld for generations. As the last independently owned British metal bedmaker, every bed we create is handcrafted in our Norfolk workshop using time-honoured techniques and materials built to last.
We’re proud to be the only UK metal bed manufacturer certified by Made in Britain, and even prouder to hold a Royal Warrant — a mark of excellence that simply isn’t awarded to those cutting corners.
We don’t mass-produce or outsource. Every frame is built with care, using certified British iron or brass, and finished to order. It’s this attention to detail — and refusal to cut corners — that sets us apart.
We don’t do fast furniture. We do meaningful pieces, made with care, to be lived with and loved for years to come — craftsmanship that speaks for itself.

Where Comfort meets Necessity
At Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co., our mattresses are crafted to work in harmony with our bed bases, offering exceptional comfort, support, and longevity. Each mattress is handmade in the UK using only natural fillings like British wool, cotton, and horsehair — materials chosen for their breathability, resilience, and sustainable qualities.
What makes our mattresses truly unique is the combination of traditional craftsmanship with a commitment to natural, chemical-free sleep. We never use foam, synthetic fibres, or fire-retardant chemicals. Instead, every mattress is double-sided, hand-tufted, and finished with 100% chemical-free cotton covers to create a healthier sleeping environment.
Paired with our slatted or upholstered bed bases, our mattresses offer enhanced airflow and balanced support — helping the natural materials perform at their best. With traditional side stitching and time-honoured techniques, these are mattresses made to last, for people who value comfort, authenticity, and a better night’s sleep.
