Wool Mattresses – A Legacy of Traceability and British Craftsmanship
Why Choose Our Wool Mattresses?
Experience the deep, restful comfort of our wool mattresses — made with pure, traceable British wool and no synthetic fillers or chemical treatments. Every mattress in our collection is handcrafted in the UK and designed to support you naturally, night after night.
Unlike mass-produced options, our wool mattresses are made in small batches using wool sourced directly from individual British farms. That means you can trace every fibre — from pasture to pillow — and rest easy knowing your mattress is not only better for you but better for the planet.
By choosing one of these mattresses, you embrace a lifestyle that values sustainability, supports British sheep farmers, and experiences the pure luxury of a mattress that adapts to your body while letting you rest with peace of mind.

One Farm at a Time: True Traceability, Not Just a Buzzword
In today’s mattress industry, “traceable wool” is often used but rarely upheld. Many brands source wool from central suppliers who pool fibres from multiple farms. It’s processed en masse, manufactured at scale, and sold with vague labels like “British wool”—but any real connection to the land, the animals, or the farmers is lost along the way.
We do things differently. We make our mattresses using wool from one farm at a time.
This means we don’t stockpile, blend, or bulk buy. We source wool directly from one of our trusted British farms, use it exclusively for a production cycle, and then move on to the next. Every mattress we made during that time contained only wool from that one farm—nothing else.
This isn’t a shortcut. It’s a commitment.
It allows us to offer 100% true traceability. When you buy one of our organic wool mattresses, you know precisely where your wool came from. You can trace it back to the pasture, the sheep, and the farmer. We know their names. We’ve walked their fields. And we’re proud to tell their stories—honestly and transparently. Compare this to mass-market models, where wool from dozens of farms is mixed, processed, and manufactured at scale. Traceability is blurred, authenticity is lost, and sustainability becomes a box to tick, not a value to live by.
Our approach is slower, smaller, and more intentional. Our natural wool bedding is made to order, in small batches. We don’t keep stacks of ready-made mattresses in a warehouse. Each is crafted carefully, using wool we’ve sourced directly and exclusively from a single British farm. This isn’t just about making better mattresses—it’s about doing right by the land, the animals, and you. Because absolute traceability isn’t a slogan, it’s a responsibility.
You’re choosing authenticity by choosing one of our handmade British wool mattresses. You’re choosing a mattress with a name, a place, and a story behind it.
No blending. No greenwashing.
Just wool. From one farm. At a time.

Naturally British: The Farms Behind Our Mattresses
Meet the farms behind our collection of traceable British wool mattresses—each one made with care, from one farm at a time. We work directly with a select group of UK sheep farms who share our commitment to sustainability, animal welfare, and regenerative land practices. No blending, no bulk processing—just honest materials with clear origins. Discover the stories, landscapes, and farmers behind the wool that fills every natural, chemical-free mattress we make.

Home Farm, Norfolk
Home Farm is where it all began. Here, founder Amanda Oldfield tends a small flock by hand—born from a deep love of sheep, land, and honest materials. It’s a place of care, connection, and the quiet values that inspired our journey into truly traceable, farm-sourced wool.

Appleton Farm, Norfolk
Appleton Farm, nestled within Norfolk’s historic Sandringham Estate, was the first farm we partnered with. With organically managed pastures and a flock of Aberfield-cross sheep, Appleton produces beautifully soft, resilient wool. Every mattress made from their fleece carries a legacy of care, heritage, and true British traceability.

Sneachill Farm, Worcestershire
Sneachill Farm is a proud generational farm with a family heritage stretching back over five generations. Nestled in the English countryside, this farm blends traditional practices with modern sustainability. Its deep-rooted knowledge, care for the land, and commitment to ethical farming make its wool a trusted part of our mattress collection.
