It is important that you read these terms & conditions carefully because your order and use of this site is subject to them.
Access and use of the website is provided by The Wrought Iron & Brass Bed Co. Ltd (hereinafter referred to as WIBB) and is subject to the following terms and conditions.
These terms and conditions apply to all users of the site including casual browsers.
The use of this site constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions, which take effect on the date at which you first use the site. The WIBB reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by updating this.
Formation of the contract
No contract will subsist between you and WIBB for the sale by it to you of any product unless and until you have received confirmation of your order in the form of a receipt confirming details of your order. Once the receipt has been received, there will be a legally binding contract between us.
This site is available only for your personal, non-commercial use.
The products referred to on this site are available in the UK only. WIBB will not process orders for delivery to non-UK addresses.
Provision of Information
You agree to provide true, accurate and complete information about yourself whenever you order any items from us.
All orders placed are subject to our acceptance of the order. WIBB reserves the right to refuse orders.
The information contained in the site and brochure may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors and WIBB shall not be liable for any inaccuracies or errors. The reproduction of products is as accurate as photographic and printing processes permit and WIBB cannot accept responsibility for variances in colour and style. Every effort will be made to ensure that the reproduction is of the highest quality.
WIBB reserve the right to alter the specification of products as necessary and offer an equivalent or better product in the event of stock anomalies. We will use reasonable endeavours to verify the accuracy of any product or pricing information which we place on the site but we make no warranties (whether express or implied) in relation to the accuracy of such information.
We reserve the right to amend any prices without any prior notice and to end any promotions at any time. We reserve the right to add or withdraw any item at any time. All prices are stated in pounds sterling. Prices are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges.
Whilst it is our intention to keep our brochure and website up to date and error free, it is the case that, on occasion, pricing errors may occur. In the event that you order an item and the price published was incorrect for any reason we will contact you to let you know the correct price and ask you whether you still wish us to fulfil your order at this price. You may then either cancel your order or confirm your order at the correct price. Prices online may differ from those in our stores.
If you choose the option to pay a 50% deposit, the remaining balance shall be collected, when we contact you to arrange delivery. If for any reason the balance is still outstanding 7 days before delivery, we will not be able to commence with your delivery. Your remaining balance will still be collected, if you are unable to take delivery on the proposed date.
We endeavour to indicate if an item is unavailable for any reason. In the event that you order an item, which we subsequently discover is unavailable, we will contact you and let you know when we anticipate that the item will become available. You can then decide whether to continue with your order, cancel your order (in which case we will refund any monies paid by you), or place an order for an alternative item.
Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods on the day we specify, we cannot guarantee delivery on that day or accept liability for deliveries made outside this timescale.
You will be notified of this when you place your order. All items are subject to availability. When we deliver your items to you, you may be asked to sign for the goods to acknowledge that you have received them. Deliveries throughout mainland Britain will be charged at a standard rate of £50, except in areas of Cumbria, Northumberland, County Durham, Tyne and Wear, Cornwall, Exeter, Dorset, Somerset, Scotland and Wales., which are subject to a charge of £95. Deliveries for the Isle of Wight shall be subject to a £295 delivery charge.
Delivery prices to the Isle of Man, Scottish Islands and International addresses will be confirmed either by email or telephone once we have received your order. All air or sea freight costs will be passed on to the customer.
We endeavour to deliver all orders within;
- 28-42 days Iron Beds/Iron and Brass Beds excluding George and Elizabeth
- 42-56 days George and Elizabeth
- 56 – 70 days Brass and Nickel Beds
On occasions lead times may take longer and this shall communicated to you.
You shall receive your order summary within 72 hours of placing your order. Your item(s) lead time shall commence, once you have acknowledge this email in writing to WIBB. Failure to do so, will result in a delay in lead times.
Lead time for to the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scottish Islands and International addresses will be confirmed either by email or telephone once we have received your order.
International orders may be subject to local duties, import duties and additional charges locally. There are payable by the receiver and WIBB hold no liability for these charges. Delivery dates for international orders are estimated and subject to change. WIBB hold no liability for the lateness of international orders.
We will contact you by e-mail to arrange delivery of your order. You will be given an estimated time allocation for the delivery of your order.
On delivery you are required to sign for the item(s) received. By signing the delivery note, you confirm that the item(s) have been received, inspected and are not damaged / faulty.

30 Day Bed Promise
If you decide that you have made the wrong choice in bed, we shall let you make a one time exchange. Our 30 Day Bed Promise only applies to beds purchased directly from ourselves or an authorised WIBB retailer with display beds. You must have seen the selected bed style and colour in person and been given individual advice, which you have followed in making your purchase.
You must notify WIBB in writing between 0 and 30 days after delivery of the bed. Plus, provide full proof of purchase (sales receipt or invoice).
The 30 Day Bed Promise does not apply to;
- Purchases made on the internet or to ex-display / clearance items.
- Bespoke beds including and not limited to – non standard colours, designs, general alterations
- Beds which are defective due to misuses, wilful damage, accidental damage, neglect or general wear and tear.
- Beds which have not be delivered by WIBB.
Any exchange shall be subject to WIBB standard lead times. At the discretion of WIBB a fee may be charged to you, in respect of costs associated with the collection and delivery of a replacement product. WIBB shall advise of any additional fees payable, shall be confirmed when arranging the exchange.
The 30 Day Bed Promise is limited to one replacement only, which will be the same size as originally ordered. WIBB allow the right for an upgrade size to be paid for. However a refund shall not be issued, if you are required to downsize.
Our Lifetime Guarantee
To demonstrate our high standard of materials and craftsmanship, we offer a lifetime guarantee on all our bed frames. Should an imperfection, which is due to faulty materials or workmanship become apparent. WIBB will endeavour to repair or replace it free of charge at our discretion.
Our lifetime guarantee only applies to beds, purchased from ourselves or an authorised retailer and has been delivered directly by ourselves.
Any claim must be made in writing, within one month of the imperfection arising and must be made by the original purchaser. Who can also provide original proof of purchase (sales receipt or invoice).
Our lifetime guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear. Failure to follow care instructions may void your guarantee. The guarantee does not cover goods, which have been damaged through unreasonable or improper use, are accidentally damaged or are wilfully damaged. Our lifetime guarantee is not extended to slats, bed bases, mattresses, bedding and tarnishing of brass.
WIBB has the right to refuse a repair or replacement, if the bed is in a soiled or unsanitary environment.
If the product has been discontinued or cannot be repaired. WIBB reserves the right to supply an equivalent alternative.
Your guarantee commences on the date of delivery and our delivery note, is signed by the buyer. Failure to supply a signed delivery note, will void any guarantee.
Any guarantee offered by WIBB is provided in addition to and not instead of, any rights you have as a consumer under applicable English Law. The terms of the WIBB lifetime guarantee and other grantees offered by WIBB are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with English Law and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Mattress and Bed Base Guarantees
Your mattress and bed base shall come with a manufacturers guarantee. Which covers against material failure and faulty workmanship. You must keep hold off all your paperwork and if required, have registered your guarantee with the manufacturer.
It is your responsibility to check for any damage prior, to signing the proof of delivery note. Any fault(s) / damaged item(s) must be reported within 48 hours and supported by images of the issue.
Mattresses and Bed Bases are subject to a maximum refund of 50% and WIBB have the right to reduce this, if they are deemed to be in an unacceptable condition.
The manufacturer has the right to void a guarantee, if they feel the care instructions have not been followed and they deem the item to have been misused, or if the product has been soiled and/or in a non-hygienic condition.
The claim must be made in writing to WIBB within the fault arising. If the product has been discontinued and can not be repaired, then then manufacture has the right to supply an alternative. The terms of their guarantee is governed by English Law.
Right to cancel, returns and refunds
If, for any reason you are unhappy with the item(s) you have ordered, you have the right to cancel. (Except where the item could be deemed as bespoke / non standard). In the event that you cancel an order, before the items have been despatched to you. We shall give you a full refund of any monies paid, within ten days of notification you wish to cancel your order.
If you have already received your item(s), then you must notify us within 14 days of delivery via e-mail to email@example.com. We shall process your refund within 1o days, once your item(s) have been collected and inspected for any damage. Item(s) returned must be in a re-saleable condition. Mattresses and Bed Bases are subject to a maximum refund of 50%.
WIBB has the right to reduce the refund value, if items are not deemed to be in a re-saleable condition.

Alternative Dispute Resolution
WIBB is a member of the Norfolk Trusted Trader scheme. In partnership with Referenceline, Norfolk Trusted Trader offers independent dispute resolution. We will endeavour to resolve any customer disputes fully and fairly through our own internal processes. In the event of a complaint not being resolved we will write a final letter to you called a ‘deadlock’ letter. This letter signals that we have reached the end of our internal complaints procedure and that you may now progress your issues to independent dispute resolution through Norfolk Trusted Trader.

Although WIBB aims to offer you the best service possible, we make no promise that the services at the www.wroughtironandbrassbed.co.uk site will meet your requirements. We cannot guarantee that the service will be fault free. If a fault occurs in the service you should report it to Customer Services (see contact details) and we will attempt to correct the fault as soon as we reasonably can.
Your access to the WIBB site may be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new facilities or services.

Links within this website may lead to other websites. Such links are for information purposes only and WIBB assumes no responsibility for the contents of these websites.
Furthermore, the inclusion of any links to other such websites does not mean that WIBB endorses or otherwise approves any information or material contained in those sites, WIBB is neither responsible nor liable for your use of other websites which you may access via links within this site. This is as follows: –
a) If the goods WIBB delivers are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, WIBB shall have no liability to you unless you notify WIBB in writing at WIBB contact address of the problem within 30 working days of the delivery of goods in question.
b) If you notify a problem to WIBB under this condition, WIBB only obligation will be, at its option:- to make good any shortage or non-delivery; to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way WIBB chooses.
c) WIBB will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem you notify to WIBB under this condition and WIBB shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under paragraph (b) above.
d) Nothing in this condition is, however, intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit WIBB liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from its negligence. Nothing in this agreement is intended to limit any rights you may have as a consumer under any applicable law that may not be legally excluded.
If any term, condition, or provision of these Terms and Conditions is determined to be unlawful, invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms, conditions and provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby.
WIBB will not be liable to you in the event that it is prevented by circumstances beyond its control from delivering any product which you have ordered or for any damaged or defective goods.
All names, logos, trademarks and titles used in this site are trademarks or trade names of their respective holder.
Any contract between us will be interpreted, construed and interpreted in all respects in accordance with the laws of England and any dispute in relation to such contract shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the current WIBB brochure and website prices, delivery details and WIBB contact details, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you by WIBB.
These Terms and Conditions cannot be varied except in writing signed by a director of WIBB. In particular nothing said by any sales person on behalf of WIBB should be understood as a variation of these Terms and Conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any goods offered for sale by WIBB shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
