Natural No.2 Mattress

The Natural Comfort No.2 British wool mattress delivers very high overall support with balanced comfort. It feels slightly firmer than No.1, yet it still cushions the body effectively. As a result, it supports healthy alignment without excessive softness. This balance suits sleepers who want comfort with control.

This British wool mattress includes 6,000 micro pocket springs layered above 1,200 core pocket springs. Each spring responds independently to movement and weight. Because of this, pressure spreads evenly across the surface. Support remains consistent as you change position during the night.

Loose, hand-teased British wool sits above the spring system. Unlike bonded pads, the wool can move freely. Therefore, the mattress settles gradually and evenly over time. Comfort improves with use, while breathability and temperature control remain consistent.

This British wool mattress works on a wooden slatted base. However, we recommend a hard top bedstead base for added support. This also helps prevent the loose wool filling from migrating between slats. For a softer surface feel, a sprung base offers additional comfort.

Care Instructions

Rotate and turn your mattress every two months. This helps ensure even wear and supports natural settling of the wool and cotton layers.
Use a breathable mattress protector to protect against moisture. Occasionally remove bedding to allow airflow. On delivery, let the mattress settle for a few hours before use.
Use a soft brush or vacuum with an upholstery attachment. If spills occur, blot gently with a clean cloth. Do not scrub, soak, or steam clean the mattress.
