We buy our wool directly from British farmers, supporting fair practices and providing you with full traceability from farm to finish.

Care Instructions

To maintain the comfort and longevity of your Bedstead mattress, we recommend rotating it head-to-foot every two months. Regular rotation helps distribute wear evenly and minimises natural settlement—an expected characteristic of mattresses made with natural fibres like wool and cotton. Without rotation, you may notice uneven surfaces or impressions over time.

We also suggest using a breathable, natural mattress protector. This protects your mattress from moisture and marks while allowing it to maintain its natural airflow and body temperature regulation. For best results, remove any bedding or covers from your mattress periodically to let the natural fillings breathe.

When your mattress arrives, unwrap it and let it settle for a few hours. This gives the natural fibres time to relax and air out and allows any scent from the wool to disperse gently.

Keep your mattress clean by using a soft brush or vacuum with an upholstery attachment. In the event of a spill, blot the area immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth—avoid soaking or scrubbing to protect the natural fillings.
