Natural No.4 Mattress

The Natural Comfort No.4 British wool mattress offers a firmer surface feel with lower overall support. This firmness comes from reduced wool filling rather than increased structure. As a result, the mattress feels flatter and more controlled from the first night.

This British wool mattress features 2,000 micro pocket springs layered above 1,200 core pocket springs. Each spring responds independently to movement and weight. Because of this, the mattress remains stable and supportive while limiting sink-in.

Hand-teased British wool sits above the springs in a lower volume. Although the wool layer is lighter, it still supports breathability and temperature regulation. Because the wool remains loose, it settles evenly over time without compacting.

The reduced wool filling creates a firm, structured feel. This suits sleepers who prefer minimal surface cushioning. Many back and front sleepers choose this option for its controlled comfort and stable sleep surface.

However, if you like the feel of No.4 but want a touch more comfort, the Natural Comfort No.3 British wool mattress may suit you better. No.3 offers the same natural materials and spring structure, with additional wool for improved pressure relief while maintaining balance.

  • Rotate and turn your mattress every two months. This helps ensure even wear and supports natural settling of the wool and cotton layers.
  • Use a breathable mattress protector to protect against moisture. Occasionally remove bedding to allow airflow. On delivery, let the mattress settle for a few hours before use.
  • Use a soft brush or vacuum with an upholstery attachment. If spills occur, blot gently with a clean cloth. Do not scrub, soak, or steam clean the mattress.

10-Year Mattress Guarantee

Every mattress in the Natural Comfort Collection is handmade using traceable materials. For this reason, we include a 10-year guarantee as standard.

The guarantee covers defects in materials or workmanship. It does not cover general wear and tear. This reflects our confidence in the quality and longevity of our British wool mattresses.
