Since our family-run company was founded two generations ago, we’ve tested countless delivery methods. The result? Nothing compares to our very own, carefully trained delivery team. They ensure every bed arrives on time, in perfect condition, and with the same care it was built. Our delivery team provides a complete, stress-free service. We bring your bed to the room of your choice, unbox it, and remove all the packaging. If you prefer, we can also assemble it for you, so you can enjoy a restful night’s sleep without any hassle.

Our delivery charges are as follows:

  • Local Delivery 1 – NR and PE30 – PE38 postcode areas: £0.00
  • Local Delivery 2 – PE1 – PE29, CB, IP, CO, CM postcode areas:  £50.00
  • Other areas of England (excluding Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset,  Northumberland, and Cumbria): £75.00
  • Northumberland, Cumbria, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Cornwall, Scotland (excluding Highlands & Moray), and Wales: £95.00
  • Highlands & Moray: £115.00
  • Isle of Wight: £395.00

Although it might seem greedy, we do not profit from our delivery charges. Our delivery charges help us to provide the highest quality service possible by our own delivery team. With delivery under our control, we can ensure that your heavy bed is installed in the right room on any floor rather than left outside in the rain.

*Please note all international shipments exclude local import duties and taxes.

As all of our beds are painstakingly handcrafted to order, our delivery times range from 4 to 12 weeks, depending on the model you choose. Please note that we also require confirmation of your order before your bed is placed into production.

For mainland UK addresses, typical delivery times are as follows:

  • Iron beds: 4 to 6 weeks
  • Brass beds (excluding Rosie and Willow): 6 to 8 weeks
  • Rosie and Willow Brass beds, Nickel and Copper beds: 8 to 10 weeks

Occasionally, it may take longer to deliver your bed, although changes to your delivery will always be communicated with you.

You’ll receive an order confirmation via email within 72 hours, from which time our delivery team will aim to confirm a provisional delivery week shortly after. It is possible to request a specific delivery date: please call our showroom on 01485 542516 for more details and check availability before placing your order.

Yes

Our assembly service is an additional option that will cost £50 (included free of charge for Brass, Nickel, and Copper beds). However, it’s the easiest way to ensure a stress-free delivery day and the best night’s sleep of your life. Simply select the assembly option when purchasing your bed.

No

Unfortunately, we’re unable to remove your old bed and mattress.

In addition, we ask that your room be clear of obstructions so that we can deliver your new bed to the right place, so please make sure that your old bed is out of the way.

However, we can help move your old bed or mattress to a convenient location in your house for a local council or charity to collect if required.

We’ll email you roughly two weeks before your delivery date. It will be the same whether you have pre-booked your delivery date or not.

Yes

We require a confirmation email to state that you can take delivery on the proposed date.

If we do not receive an email from you 7 days before the delivery date, we’ll be forced to remove you from the schedule. In short, please confirm the delivery date so that we can make sure to deliver on time.

No

Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer a reminder service for deliveries, so please make sure to mark the date in your diary. However, our delivery driver will call you on the number provided with your order when they are roughly 30 minutes away.

 

Yes

If you cannot be at home to take the delivery, a friend or family member can take the delivery on your behalf. However, we must deliver to the address on the order AND we must receive an email informing us of the person who will take the delivery at least 48 hours before our arrival.

We apologize for any inconvenience. The delivery note that should be signed on delivery will affect your eligibility for our guarantees, so we want to ensure that everything is in order for your benefit.

Once your items have arrived, you have 14 days to notify us if you’d like to return your order/items – all returns are liable to an additional shipping charge. Items such as mattresses, bedding, and bed bases are non-returnable

All overseas orders are covered by shipping insurance, which means if your items arrive damaged and require replacement, this cost will be covered by the shipping insurance. We must be notified of any damages within 12 hours of the shipment arriving, and claims must be supported with photographic evidence.

Our lifetime guarantee is valid on all overseas orders delivered via a shipping method approved by us, and pictures of the items in situ are sent within 48 hours of delivery to act as proof of receipt and that the items have arrived undamaged.
