Tough, timeless, and tail-waggingly comfortable — our metal dog beds are built with the same care and craftsmanship as our human beds. Handmade in Norfolk, each dog bed frame is forged from sturdy wrought iron and fitted with FSC®-certified pine slats, creating a raised, supportive base for dogs of all ages.

Unlike soft baskets, these metal framed dog beds are chew-proof, easy to step into, and — yes — zoom-proof. Every bed comes with a water-repellent cushion, made from 100% recycled foam and wrapped in our signature striped fabric, designed to look great and feel even better.

How It All Began

The story of our dog beds began long before our family business. One spring morning, when I was twelve, I walked into a gamekeeper’s outhouse and found twelve black Labrador puppies. That was the day I met Rosie—my best friend for many years.

As Rosie grew, she developed arthritis earlier than expected. When she turned six, the vet advised us to stop letting her sleep in a basket on the floor. We searched everywhere for a raised dog bed—but found nothing that truly worked.

In the meantime, my brother Jack had an idea. Using leftover metal from our bed frames, he built Rosie her own iron-framed dog bed. It gave her the comfort and support she needed. That design became the foundation of what we now call our Original Dog Bed.

Over time, customers visiting our showroom noticed Rosie’s bed and started asking for one just like it. Friends, family, and visitors loved the sturdy design and timeless look—and slowly, our little side project turned into something much bigger.

Now I’m 36. Rosie is no longer with us, but her bed has remained. As I sit at home writing this, I can see my two labradors curled up in that same design, enjoying a mid-morning nap. It’s more than a bed—it’s part of our family story.

We’re proud to be the UK’s first carbon-neutral iron bed manufacturer. Our workshop runs on 100% renewable electricity, and whenever possible, we build pet beds using leftover materials to reduce waste. Even our packaging is 100% recycled.
