The mattress features a 1,500-pocket spring unit (in a 5ft model), ideal for those who prefer a naturally firm feel or are moving away from synthetic beds for the first time. The individually nested springs offer foundational support and alignment without rigidity.

Above the springs, layers of hand-teased British wool fleece provide softness, breathability, and moisture regulation. The natural loose-fill construction allows fibres to remain buoyant and mobile, so they move with your body rather than resisting it—helping you sink gently into rest each night.

Like every mattress in the Signature Collection, the No.5 is wrapped in our British-woven, chemical-free wool ticking, and every component—from fleece to stitching—is natural, traceable, and toxin-free. Our wool is purchased directly from British farmers, scoured with organic detergent, and free from flame-retardant chemicals or adhesives.
