“When I founded Wrought Iron and Brass Bed Co. alongside my husband- authenticity and transparency played an integral role in the ethos behind our family company. By sourcing locally, being close to our suppliers and having them source the raw materials from within the British Isles, we can hold a key focus on quality and ensure the miles travelled are kept to a minimum.

After twenties years of bed-making and working closely with Sandringham Estate, I’ve created this wonderful collection of mattresses that bring a new meaning to hyper-local sourcing and uphold the fundamental ethos elements both myself and Stephen established our family company- twenty years ago.

For many years, I have been puzzled by mattress manufacturers looking overseas to source their wool when this country has an abundance of fleece.

Named The Sandringham Wool Collection, only wool fleece sourced from the organic pastures on our doorstep will be used in this collection of mattresses. Once we have used the total yield, there will be a natural wait until next year’s harvest before we start production and add to the collection again. Creating a mattress that upholds our commitment to authenticity, transparency and offering the best night’s sleep possible.”

Wool Fleece Souced from the Organic Pastures of Sandringham Estate

Imagine sleeping on a mattress where the wool is not only traceable to the farm- but to the bale of wool, your mattress was made from.

Working exclusively with The Sandringham Estate, we’ve developed this limited collection of wool mattresses that are traceable back to the farm and to the individual bale of wool.

Naturally breathable natural fibres are essential in preserving the optimum body temperature throughout the night to encourage a night of restorative and restful sleep.

The most breathable of all-natural fibres. 100% of the fleece within our collection of Sandringham wool mattresses is sourced directly from over 4,500 Aberfield sheep that roam the organic pastures on the Sandringham Estate. This means once we have used the total yield, there will be a natural wait until next year’s yield before we start production, adding to The Sandringham Wool Collection again.
