British-Made Beds, Crafted by Our Family

An iron curve, an ornate brass finial or the shine of nickel often draws us to a particular bed. However, its lasting strength comes from the construction beneath the finish.

Our iron beds combine welded frames with a choice of powder-coated colours. Brass beds, meanwhile, have grander proportions, authentic brass detailing and decorative spinnings. Nickel beds share that ornate styling, but bring a cooler, reflective finish.

We don’t mass-produce. Instead, every frame begins with your order, and our independent family company makes it for you in Norfolk. For over 20 years, we’ve chosen British-sourced materials, substantial iron construction, and solid feet and joints.

Explore single beds through to emperor bed frames, alongside day beds, outdoor beds and dog beds. Our frames also carry Made in Britain certification and our Lifetime Guarantee. A Royal Warrant of Appointment to King Charles III recognises the standards our family upholds.

The right bed often starts with the style that catches your eye. You might prefer the simplicity of an iron bed or the warmer details of authentic brass. Nickel offers another character, with a cooler finish that catches the light. Look beyond those differences, however, and the same principles run through every collection.

Our family makes each bed to order in Norfolk, using British-sourced materials and substantial construction.
The character may change from one collection to another.

Iron Beds

An iron bed often lets its shape do the talking. Some designs have clean, simple lines. Others use sweeping curves and more traditional detailing. We make each frame from substantial British-sourced iron, then add a powder-coated finish in your chosen colour. Matching finials can keep the design simple and understated. Alternatively, authentic brass details add warmth and contrast. Whatever the style, the substantial iron construction remains at its heart.

Brass Beds

Brass brings a different character to a bed. Its warmth works beautifully with decorative spinnings, traditional curves and the grander proportions found across our brass collection. We use authentic brass rather than a brass-effect finish. Over time, the surface can naturally develop a patina, giving the material even more character. Beneath the decorative details sits a substantial iron core. So, while the brass catches your eye, there is plenty of substance underneath.

Nickel Beds

Nickel takes many of those traditional details in a different direction. The plated finish catches the light, giving decorative spinnings and sweeping curves a cooler, more reflective appearance. It can feel particularly striking on an ornate bed, where the finish draws attention to every detail. Yet the shine is only the surface. A substantial iron core sits beneath the nickel finish, giving the frame the same sense of substance.

Why Choose Us?

The design may catch your eye first, but the materials and making deserve a closer look. After all, those choices influence how a bed performs throughout its life. From British-sourced iron to authentic brass, we know what goes into each frame and the people who make it. Here’s why our family’s approach matters to the bed you bring home.

A Family Company, Making Beds in Norfolk

For over 20 years, our independent family company has made beds in our Norfolk workshop. Family members oversee different parts of the business, working alongside a small team and remaining involved every day.

We don’t mass-produce. Instead, each frame begins with your order, so our workshop makes it specifically for you. From choosing materials to overseeing production, we take personal responsibility for what we make.

Because we work closely together, knowledge passes naturally between the workshop and the people helping you choose. Our team understands the products, their construction and the details worth considering before you order.

Ultimately, our approach centres on making beds well. Family ownership gives us the freedom to choose quality over volume, with our name behind every frame.

Why We Choose Authentic Brass

Authentic brass has a warmth that comes from the material itself. You can see it in the rounded shape of a finial and the depth of decorative detailing.

We source our brass from British suppliers and mill it in-house. As a result, we understand the material and control the details that define our beds.

Over time, authentic brass naturally tarnishes. Its surface develops a patina, gradually changing the appearance and adding character. While some customers enjoy that mellow finish, others prefer to maintain a brighter shine through appropriate care.

For us, authentic brass belongs in a bed made for lasting use. Beyond its initial shine, it brings a material with its own character into your home.

The Only UK Metal Bed Maker Certified by Made in Britain

Where a bed comes from deserves as much consideration as how it looks. We are the only UK metal bed maker certified by Made in Britain.

That certification therefore gives you independent reassurance about British manufacture. Our family makes each frame to order in our Norfolk workshop, using British-sourced raw materials.

In addition, making beds here connects each finished frame to a place, a team and a process we know first-hand. You can ask us about the materials and speak to people who understand the work.

Certification supports that provenance, while the construction gives it substance. Across our iron, brass and nickel collections, substantial iron cores, solid feet and solid joints provide lasting strength.

Together, British manufacture and carefully chosen materials explain what sits behind our beds. Our Lifetime Guarantee also reflects the confidence we have in the frames we make.

Yes — two adults can share a 3/4 bed, though space will be limited compared with a Full Double or King. It’s ideal for smaller rooms or occasional two-person use. For maximum comfort, most couples prefer at least a Double (4ft 6inc).

Our largest handcrafted size is the Emperor, measuring 215cm x 215cm (approx. 7ft x 7ft) — a luxury, statement-making choice for master suites.
